Hertha Berlin have today confirmed the signing of Jonjoe Kenny on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old has signed a three-year deal until 2025 with the Bundesliga club after his contract at Everton expired.
“The club made it clear how much they wanted me,” said Kenny. “I’m pleased to be here. I’m looking forward to playing for this club, seeing the fans and moving to this city.”
“Jonjoe is a player that will bring some fresh impetus and pace into our game. He’s gained experience in both the Premier League and the Bundesliga, plus he still has the potential to develop further aged just 25. We could sense how excited he was to join Hertha BSC during our discussions.”
Kenny spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Schalke and finds himself back in the Bundesliga. Hertha Berlin will be looking to avoid a repeat of last season after they secured their league status in the playoff against Hamburg.
