Juventus have officially announced the signing of Argentine winger Nico Gonzalez on loan with a probable obligation to buy from Fiorentina.

The Bianconeri have agreed to pay a fee of €8m to sign Nico on loan for the season, and will then pay a further fee of €25m, payable in three instalments, plus ancillary fees of €3.1m, and bonuses that could rise up to €5m.

Juventus confirmed in an official press release that the cost to make the deal permanent will be €33m, not including the €8m loan fee.

Nico Gonzalez already agreed to a set of personal terms earlier this month, understood to be around €3.5m in wages per season. He had four years remaining on his previous contract with Fiorentina, which was due to expire in the summer of 2028.

What Juventus said about new signing Nico Gonzalez

“Welcome to Juventus, Nico, and see you soon on the pitch,” Juventus wrote in a statement on the club website.

Nico has ended the last three seasons as Fiorentina’s highest goalscorer in Serie A. He has also provided the second most assists of any Argentine player in the division in that same timeframe.

He was also part of the Argentina squad that were crowned Copa America champions earlier this summer.

He also played a key role in helping Fiorentina reach two consecutive Europa Conference League finals.

Juventus are also hoping to announce a deal for Porto’s Francisco Conceicao in the coming days, as the Portugal national team talent is due to have his medical in Italy on Monday.
