Juventus have officially confirmed that centre-back Tiago Djalo has joined FC Porto on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
The Portuguese centre-back has returned to his home country on a straight, season-long loan deal, without an option to buy included in the contracts.
“Good luck, Tiago,” the Bianconeri wrote in a brief statement on the club website.
The former Sporting CP centre-back had just one 16 minute appearance in a Juventus shirt following his arrival from Lille back in January. The Old Lady paid a fee of around €5.1m plus bonuses, spread across multiple instalments, to bring him to the Allianz Stadium.
Djalo had been close to joining Roma on the final day of the transfer window, and even arrived to complete a medical, but the deal fell through a few hours shy of the deadline, and so he returned to Turin.
Now, he will play for Porto this season, where he will join Udinese centre-back Neheun Perez, who has also joined the Portuguese side on loan, although with an option to buy included.
