Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that the transfer of Austrian centre-back Kevin Danso (26) has been made permanent.
Danso joined Tottenham from RC Lens on loan in January. The deal included the obligation to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign. Since making the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the centre-back has featured 15 times and earlier this month, he lifted the UEFA Europa League trophy with the club.
In the wake of that triumph, the obligation to make the loan permanent has been triggered. Danso has therefore joined Tottenham Hotspur permanently in a deal worth €25m, as per journalist Fabrizio Romano. During his time with Les Sang et Or, the former Southampton centre-back played 128 times, scoring four goals and registering six assists. He was notably a key figure in the squad that finished second in Ligue 1, just one point behind champions Paris Saint-Germain, before then competing with Lens in the UEFA Champions League the following season.
