Lazio have parted ways with Gabriele Artistico, who will embark on a new Serie B experience with his new club, Padova.

Gabriele Artistico Never Played for Lazio

The Italian striker is a Parma youth product who only made a single appearance for the Ducali’s first team. Following an experience at Francavilla, Lazio surprisingly decided to bet on the Roman, signing him on a free transfer in the summer of 2024. However, he never featured for the Biancocelesti in a competitive fixture.

Artistico’s Stats on Loan

Artistico spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan between Juve Stabia and Cosenza, scoring seven goals throughout the season. Last term, he enjoyed his most prolific season to date, bagging 14 goals for Spezia. The centre-forward returned to Formello this summer and found the back of the net on a couple of occasions in pre-season friendlies, but his momentum was interrupted by an injury.

Artistico Joins Padova on Permanent Transfer

In recent days, it was revealed that the Italian striker isn’t in Gennaro Gattuso’s plans. Therefore, Padova decided to pounce on the situation and struck an agreement with Lazio and the player. The Aquile have confirmed the Artistico’s departure via a statement posted on the club’s official website.

While the source didn’t disclose the details of the operation, Transfermarkt believes Padova paid €3 million to secure Artistico, who signed a four-year contract. Interestingly, Lazio negotiated a buy-back clause, which would allow them to bring back the player if his services are needed at the club in the coming years.
