Ligue 1 side Rennes have signed Leeds United midfielder Glen Kamara (28), both clubs have announced. The Finland international was one of the priority signings of this summer transfer window for Les Rouge et Noir. Get French Football News understands that Glen Kamara was already being monitored by Rennes’ previous sporting management. The former Rangers man is the second signing of Frederic Massara as Rennes’ sporting director, following the arrival of Danish midfielder Albert Grønbæk (23).
Glen Kamara has put pen to paper over a four-year deal with Julien Stéphan’s side. Rennes have reportedly paid €10m for the signing of the Finland international. The 28-year-old made 42 appearances for Leeds United last season. Glen Kamara might not be the only player making the switch from Elland Road to the Roazhon Park with Rennes considering making a move for Crysencio Summerville (22) as a replacement for the PSG and Bayern Munich target Désiré Doué (19).
