Official: Levante announce deal for Carlos Espí’s replacement | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Levante have this weekend announced a fresh addition to the club’s attacking ranks. This comes by way of an official statement regarding the signing of Yanis Musuayi.

The brass at the Ciutat de València have spent the latter part of this week scouring the market for fresh blood at centre-forward. After Real Madrid made the call to activate the release clause in Carlos Espí’s contract, Levante were left with no choice but to bid farewell to their up-and-coming frontman.

From here, a number of names are understood to have been added to a shortlist of options for the Granotes.

Emerging as a leading candidate over the last 48 hours, meanwhile, was the aforementioned Yanis Musuayi. Youngster Musuayi spent this past season impressing on the books of Club NXT, the reserve outfit of Belgian giants Club Brugge.

Across all competitions, the 19-year-old managed a haul of 14 goals and two assists.

The Levante board, in turn, recently opened negotiations with their counterparts in Brugge, over the terms of a permanent deal for Musuayi. And as alluded to above, on Sunday, the Valencians have landed their man.

As per a statement across Levante’s website and social media platforms:

‘Levante UD and Club Brugge have reached an agreement for the transfer of Yanis Musuayi, who will be linked to the Levante club until June 2030.’
