RB Leipzig have announced the signing of 20-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt from KRC Genk on a five-year contract until 2029.
The Belgium youth international will join RB Leipzig in 2024 and will be a replacement for Péter Gulácsi, who will be 34 in the final year of his contract during the 2024/25 season.
“The goalkeeper training at RB Leipzig is fantastic. Péter Gulácsi, for example, has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in Europe at RB Leipzig and I would like to go this way too and that’s why RB Leipzig is the perfect club for me,” said Vandevoordt.
