Betway Premiership side Magesi FC have announced the signing of Tshegofatso Nyama from Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Cape Town City.

The 26-year-old joins Orlando Pirates duo of Sfiso Luthuli and Siyabonga Ndlozi, among others, as the Limpopo club's January recruits.

With over 100 appearances and three goals with five assists, Nyama will undoubtedly add experience and stability at his new team.

Notably, the versatile left-back was part of the TS Galaxy squad that lifted the Nedbank Cup at the expense of Kaizer Chiefs during the 2018/19 campaign.

Meanwhile, Magesi sit bottom of the Betway Premiership table with 11 points from 15 league outings - four points behind 14th-placed Chippa United.

On the other hand, the future of head coach John Maduka is reportedly hanging in the balance, with crunch talks with the hierarchy said to be scheduled.

The Malawian mentor watched from the stands as Magesi fell to Pirates at the weekend, as the club stretched their winless run in the league to five games.

It remains to be seen whether Maduka will be in the dugout when Dikwena tsa Meetse visit second tier side Upington City in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 tie at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs on Saturday.
