Marseille have tonight announced this evening that American winger Konrad de la Fuente has been loaned out to Spanish second tier outfit Eibar, in a deal which also includes an option to make the move permanent.
The 22-year-old Miami native initially joined Les Phocéens from Bracelona in 2021, but was unable to hold down a spot in the first team on a regular basis, making just 16 appearances in Ligue 1 during the following campaign.
Last year, he was loaned out to Olympiacos but featured only five times, and had been linked with another loan to England at the turn of the year after falling out of favour with former OM coach Míchel while with the Greek giants.
This summer, the American international was among a group of players who were told to find new clubs in the wake of Marcelino’s arrival as the club’s new manager. He now makes his return to Spanish football with the Basque team, having previously made three appearances for he Barcelona first team.
