After the confirmation of the team’s emergence arrived yesterday, Milan Futuro have now also been allocated a group in Serie C, more specifically group B. This means they will be up against the former Primavera manager Ignazio Abate.
Yesterday, FIGC confirmed that the Federal Council had voted for the admission of Milan to Serie C, with the club then announcing its ‘Milan Futuro’ project. The only thing missing, therefore, was to find out the group as the league has three of them.
As confirmed by Lega Pro today (via la casa di c), Milan will be competing in Group B and this also means that they will be up against Ignazio Abate’s Ternana. The Primavera manager left at the end of the season and his arrival at Ternana was announced about a week ago.
Including Ternana, Milan will be competing against the following: Arezzo, Ascoli, Campobasso, Carpi, Gubbio, Legnago Salus, Lucchese, Milan Futuro, Perugia, Pescara, Pianese, Pineto, Pontedera, Rimini, Sestri Levante, Spal, Ternana, Torres, Virtus Entella, Vis Pesaro.
Milan are certainly happy about avoiding Group C, in which the team they replaced (Ancona) used to play, as that would have been far from ideal geographically.
