Official: One major return as Real Madrid name squad to face Alavés | OneFootball

The squad of players called upon by Real Madrid for the club’s upcoming meeting with Deportivo Alavés has been unveiled online.

And it features one altogether noteworthy inclusion.

Real Madrid are of course set to return to action on Sunday evening.

With sights on a much-needed bounce-back result following a pair of successive defeats at the hands of Valencia and Arsenal over the last week, Los Blancos will make the trip to Mendizorroza, for a La Liga meeting with Alavés.

Sandwiched between a pair of Champions League fixtures against the aforementioned Arsenal, Carlo Ancelotti is expected to heavily rotate his XI tomorrow evening.

And as much could yet open the door for a timely return in midfield.

This comes amid confirmation that Dani Ceballos has been afforded a call-up for the trip to Mendizorroza.

Midfielder Ceballos has for his part been sidelined since all the way back in late February, owing to a hamstring injury.

With the 28-year-old having previously established himself as an absolutely crucial member of Real Madrid’s squad, his return to fitness could in turn not come at a better time.
