Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (35) has officially left Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille and signed for Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Qadsiah, both clubs have announced. The 35-year-old Gabonese international was heavily linked to a move to Saudi Arabia on the back of a remarkable debut season with Les Phocéens. The former Arsenal striker scored 30 goals with the Ligue 1 side in all competitions. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang proved notably lethal in the Europa League, a competition he became the outright record goalscorer with 31 goals in total. Marseille eventually fell to eventual winners Atalanta in the semis.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to earn €20m per season with his new club. Marseille are set to bank between 9 and €10m for the departure of their starting striker. The latter already announced he would be leaving the Ligue 1 side this Wednesday. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to be replaced as Marseille’s primary attacking threat by Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood (22), who reportedly underwent his medical today with the Provence side.
