Official – PSG announce major signing for their project

This Monday evening, Paris Saint-Germain published an official statement to announce a new addition to its organizational structure. Anne Descamps is joining as Director of Communications, a role in which she replaces Pascal Ferré, who was the Director of Press and Media Relations for the first team.

“Starting in August, Anne Descamps will report directly to the President of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, and will sit on the Club’s Top Management Committee, led by Victoriano Melero, General Manager. Anne will also work with the leadership team of Qatar Sports Investments, particularly regarding relations with the club’s investors and other shareholders, as well as QSI’s broader partnerships related to the Club, such as the potential NBA franchise. Over the past seven years, Anne has been part of the leadership team of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee—responsible for one of the most successful sporting events in the history of French sport and the Olympic Games—serving as Executive Director of Communications and spokesperson for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee.”

This is an important choice in the club’s strategy and development, even if its impact is less immediately apparent compared to sporting aspects. But the club’s image and what it projects are essential for growth, with a strong and positive image. Not to mention, of course, the ongoing development of its reputation and revenue.
