Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Chicago Fire have announced the signing of highly-rated attacker Puso Dithejane from Betway Premiership side TS Galaxy.
The 21-year-old will occupy an U-22 initiative slot and an international roster position, with his contract set to run until the 2029/30 season, including a club option for the 2030/31 campaign.
Dithejane joined Galaxy in November 2023 after he was released from Kaizer Chiefs' reserve team for refusing to be a ball boy in a Carling Knockout Cup clash against AmaZulu FC.
During his spell with the Rockets, the School of Excellence product scored seven goals and provided 13 assists in 63 matches across all competitions.
Notably, the Christiana-born utility player chipped in with four goals and laid six assists in 15 games in the ongoing 2025/26 Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign.
Interestingly, Dithejane, who scored the first hattrick in the South African topflight this season, attracted interest from Chiefs and Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
However, Galaxy Chairman Tim Sukazi revealed that the Soweto giants hadn't made an offer, while the Tshwane heavyweights' offer was rejected.
Now, Dithejane will link up with compatriot Mbekezeli Mbokazi, who completed a move to Chicago Fire from Orlando Pirates last month.
