A year from the end of his contract, Rasmus Nicolaisen (27) has opted to extend his stay at Toulouse FC. The club have not yet communicated how long Nicolaisen has extended his contract by as they look to secure the future of an integral piece of their team.
The central defender has become a leadership figure at the club, having played and started in all but one game for Le TéFéCé this season. The one absence came in the club’s 3-0 victory over Chambéry SF in the Coupe de France.
Since moving to Toulouse in 2021 from Midtjylland, Nicolaisen has helped the club to promotion from Ligue 2, winning last season’s Coupe de France, and guiding them on a journey into the knockout stages of the Europa League.
A feat that saw Toulouse defeat Liverpool 3-2 in the group stages of the competition, in what will go down as a historic moment for the Les Violets.
