La Liga leaders Real Madrid have on Wednesday announced a personnel setback in the club’s first-team ranks.

This comes amid confirmation that defensive star Éder Militão is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Stopper Militão for his part set alarm bells sounding in Spain’s capital late yesterday evening.

As much came upon the former Porto man pulling up, before limping out of Brazil’s friendly meeting with Tunisia.

Militão, in turn, was put through an ensuing round of medical scans by the Real Madrid staff on Wednesday morning.

And these tests confirmed the following diagnosis:

‘Following tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services on our player Éder Militão, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to the adductor magnus in his right leg. Further updates will follow.’

Though no information regarding the extent of his impending absence is provided, Militão is expected to miss several weeks of action.
