While transfer speculation continues to dominate headlines around Real Madrid, the Los Blancos have secured another major victory away from the pitch.
The Spanish giants have officially extended their long-standing partnership with Emirates, ensuring that one of the most recognisable sponsorship agreements in world football will continue for several more years
More importantly, the renewal further strengthens Real Madrid’s position as one of the most powerful commercial brands in global sport.
According to AS, the new agreement represents a significant financial upgrade for Los Blancos and could make them the club earning the highest amount from a shirt sponsorship deal anywhere in football.
Real Madrid confirmed the renewal through an official statement, announcing that Emirates will remain the club’s main sponsor until at least 2031.
“Real Madrid and Emirates have renewed their partnership, ensuring that the world’s largest international airline will remain our club’s main sponsor until 2031, consolidating a relationship that will span almost two decades.”
The agreement builds on a relationship that first began in 2011 before Emirates became the primary shirt sponsor in 2013.
By the time the new contract expires, the partnership will have lasted almost 20 years, making it one of the most enduring commercial relationships in modern football.
According to the outlet, the latest renewal is expected to increase the previous figure of €70-€80 million to close to €100 million annually from the sponsorship arrangement.
It is said that as part of the deal, the Emirates branding will continue to appear across the women’s football team, the basketball section and the club’s youth teams, apart from the men’s first team.

The renewal also creates a new landmark in Spanish football, with Real Madrid describing it as the longest-running shirt sponsorship agreement in La Liga history.
Reflecting on this extension, club president Florentino Perez highlighted the strength of the relationship between both organisations.
“This agreement is a partnership that reflects the very special relationship we have built up over the years.
“We have stood together, and continue to do so, during one of the most successful periods in our history.”
