Official: Real Madrid squad list to face Alaves – defender returns, three prospects called up | OneFootball

Real Madrid will face off against Deportivo Alaves on Sunday night, in what is a must-win match for manager Xabi Alonso, with his job on the line.

Leading up to the match, Real Madrid are dealing with a host of problems on the injury front with as many as six players ruled out while three others are suspended.

But much to the relief of the manager, Dean Huijsen has made it back to full fitness and has been named on the squad list for the match in Vitoria.

The Spanish defender missed the last five matches due to knee discomfort, but has recovered and will travel with the squad for the game.

Meanwhile, key superstars Kylian Mbappe, Antonio Rudiger, and Federico Valverde are all included as well, having managed to recover from their physical issues and trained with the group today.

Alonso has once again called up three prospects from the Castilla roster in Jorge Cestero, Joan Martinez and Victor Valdepenas. Given the lack of options at left-back, Valdepenas has an excellent chance of starting tomorrow night.

Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Eder Militao, Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the injured absentees. Alvaro Carreras, Fran Garcia, and Endrick miss out through suspension.
