Official: Real Madrid squad list to face RB Salzburg – still no Mbappe | OneFootball

Real Madrid will take on RB Salzburg in their final Group H game of the FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday night.

A point will be enough for Los Blancos to secure their place in the Round of 16, where they will face one of Juventus or Manchester City.

Ahead of the game in Philadelphia, manager Xabi Alonso has announced the squad list for what will be his third game in charge.

Once again Real Madrid will go into the game without main man Kylian Mbappe, even though he returned to team training today after having recovered from gastroenteritis.

The 26-year-old will now have to wait until the Round of 16 to make his first appearance at the Club World Cup.

Dani Carvajal also misses out despite having trained with the group today just like Mbappe. The likes of David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga remain unavailable as well.

Meanwhile, Raul Asencio also misses out after being sent off in the 3-1 win over Pachuca in the previous match. It could lead to some minutes for Jacobo Ramon while Antonio Rudiger might be in line to start.
