Official: Real Madrid star handed international recall | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has been called back up to international duty.

The player in question? Rodrygo.

Frontman Rodrygo has for his part been left out of Brazil’s most recent squads.

This comes after the 24-year-old slipped into a spell of both concerning form and struggles for fitness.

Recent weeks, though, have seen Rodrygo begin to establish himself as an important figure under the watch of new Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso.

Just last night, the former Santos talent was responsible for a stellar cameo off the bench, en route to Los Blancos’ Champions League drubbing of Kairat.

And as alluded to above, this week, such efforts on Rodrygo’s part have given rise to an international recall.

As showcased below, the attacker has been called up by Carlo Ancelotti for Brazil’s upcoming fixtures against South Korea and Japan.

Also selected by former manager Ancelotti are Real Madrid pair Éder Militão and Vinícius Jr.
