Wide-man Vinícius was for his part in nothing short of scintillating form on the continent on Tuesday night.

En route to Real Madrid putting six past AS Monaco, the Brazilian proved himself the star of the show.

From his berth on the left flank, Vinícius nothing short of terrorised Monaco’s backline, courtesy of touch, pace, dribbling, and final ball.

Such exploits culminated in a fine goal, alongside a head-turning three assists.

And as alluded to above, two days on, Vinícius has seen his excellence aptly recognised by both UEFA, and fans across the globe.

As per an official release across UEFA’s social media platforms, the explosive attacker has been named Champions League Player of the Week for gameweek 7.

‘Viní’ beat out competition from Luis Suárez, Fermín López and Robert Navarro to clinch the prize.
