Real Madrid have announced that their star midfielder, Jude Bellingham, is dealing with an injury and while the club has not specified exactly how long he will be sidelined, reports from journalist Mario Cortegana suggest he could be out for about a month.

According to an official statement released by Real Madrid,

“Following tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantar thin muscle of his right leg. Pending evolution.”

A one-month absence means Bellingham is guaranteed to miss three key matches for Los Blancos. The first is a home game against Valladolid, followed by an away match against Las Palmas and a home fixture against Real Betis.

If Bellingham’s recovery takes longer than expected, he could also miss additional games against Real Sociedad and Espanyol.

Bellingham’s injury occurred during a training session on Friday morning, casting doubt on his ability to participate in Real Madrid’s first home game of the season at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 20-year-old English midfielder, who has quickly become a crucial player for the club, did not complete the second-to-last training session due to this setback.

Real Madrid will be hoping for a speedy recovery for Bellingham, as his presence on the pitch is vital to their midfield dynamics.

His absence could force manager Carlo Ancelotti to make tactical adjustments in the coming weeks, depending on how the young player’s injury heals.

The club’s medical staff will undoubtedly do everything in their power to ensure Bellingham’s return is as swift and safe as possible. Until then, Real Madrid will have to rely on their squad depth to fill the gap left by the talented midfielder.
