Bordeaux have announced that French forward Rémi Oudin has seen his move to Lecce made permanent, after spending last season out on loan in Apulia, in a deal which did not initially include a permanent option.

The former Reims man scored three goals in 31 matches for the newly-promoted side, who staved off relegation – notably thanks to the mid-season arrival of World Cup winner Samuel Umtiti.

L’Équipe indicate that the 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, and that Les Girondins will receive a transfer fee of less than €1m, with bonuses, as well as a 15% cut of the profit on a prospective future transfer.

Oudin’s spell at Bordeaux saw him score nine goals and register ten assists across 81 appearances, having arrived midway through the 2019/20 campaign from his formative club Reims. He was ultimately unable to replicate the promise he showed with the Champagne side, where he notably scored ten goals during the 2018/19 Ligue 1 campaign, but has enjoyed a revival over in Italy.
