Official: Reunions aplenty as Barcelona learn Champions League opponents | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Thursday learned the identity of their opponents for the League Phase of this season’s edition of the Champions League. And the fixture list has given rise to a whole host of noteworthy talking points.

Perhaps biggest of all is the imminent reunion between Blaugrana summer signing Rodri, and Premier League heavyweights Manchester City.

Elsewhere, a recent departure from Hansi Flick’s squad, in the form of Ferran Torres, awaits former employers Barca at reigning Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain.

Also on the agenda is a clash with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa at the Spotify Camp Nou, whilst ex-Blaugrana midfielder Cesc Fàbregas will take his Como outfit to Catalunya’s capital as part of their first-ever season in European football’s top competition, too.
