Official: Robert Lewandowski to depart Barcelona after successful four-season spell | OneFootball

All good things must come to an end at some point, and that is the case at FC Barcelona as well. After devoting four seasons of his career to the Catalan club, Robert Lewandowski is now set to take his leave and embark on a new adventure.

As officially confirmed by FC Barcelona, the Polish ace will be leaving the club at the end of the season. With his contract expiring in the summer, the Polish forward will depart as a free agent and will be able to choose his next destination freely.

The 37-year-old former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund striker has enjoyed a successful spell in Spain, first under Xavi Hernández and now Hansi Flick. Across this period, he has lifted three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups, and one Copa del Rey, adding important silverware to his Barcelona spell.

Moreover, across his 191 appearances for the club, he has registered 119 goals and 24 assists. This is a strong return considering the investment Barça made to sign him in 2022 from Bayern Munich, and their farewell remarks for him show how highly he is regarded within the Catalan club:
