A few days after the dismissal of Sami Trabelsi, the Tunisian federation has already made its decision. Sabri Lamouchi has been named head coach.
Tunisia missed out on AFCON 2025, having been knocked out in the round of 16 by Mali. The Tunisian Football Federation wasted no time in parting ways with coach Sami Trabelsi. To fill the position, the FTF announced on Wednesday the appointment of Sabri Lamouchi. The 54-year-old coach has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.
This marks the second stint as a national team manager for the Franco-Tunisian, who previously led Ivory Coast from 2012 to 2014 (eliminated in the quarter-finals of AFCON 2013, eliminated in the group stage of the 2014 World Cup).
