Announced just a few hours ago, it’s finally official! Seko Fofana has signed with FC Porto, arriving from Rennes.

Seko Fofana has indeed left Stade Rennais at the tail end of this winter transfer window. After struggling for playing time over the past several months, the Ivorian midfielder has been loaned to FC Porto until the end of the season, aiming to reignite his career in a new environment.

Gradually sidelined by Habib Beye since the autumn, Seko Fofana was no longer part of the Rennes rotation. In need of midfield reinforcements, the Portuguese club seized the opportunity for a straightforward loan to strengthen their squad for the second half of the campaign.
