Official: Serie A Rising Star and goal of the month for September revealed | OneFootball

Como talent Nico Paz has been named the Rising Star Of The Month in Serie A, while Vasilije Adžić‘s goal against Inter was the best in the league in September.

Como’s Nico Paz and Juventus’ Adžić have received awards from Lega Serie A for their accomplishments in September.

Lega Serie A explained that the Rising Star Of The Month, given to Nico Paz, is “reserved for Under-23 players (born starting from 1 January 2003).”

The winner has been chosen by “taking into account the advanced analysis of Kama Sport, created from the tracking data recorded with the Hawk-Eye system. The rating system considers not only statistical data and technical events, but also positional data. This makes it possible to analyse crucial aspects such as movement without the ball and thus optimal movements, game choices, and the contribution to the technical and physical efficiency of the team, which allows for an objective and qualitative evaluation of the performance.”

Paz will receive the award before the next league game against Juventus, scheduled for Sunday, 19 October 2025 at 12.30 p.m. at the “Giuseppe Sinigaglia” stadium in Como.

Lega Serie A President Luigi De Siervo said: “Nico Paz doubles up and confirms himself as the best Under-23 player of the month in September too. Beating competition from many young champions such as Yildiz and Soulè, Nico Paz took the top position with two goals and two assists in three matches. Decisive in every Como goal in the month just ended, Nico Paz is now beyond the status of ‘promising player.’ He is a young talent that the whole world envies us, an example of class and consistency, a true gem of Como and Serie A.”
