Leonardo Spinazzola has officially extended his contract with Napoli to June 2028, as he had been on the verge of becoming a free agent.
It had seemed a few months ago as if he would be walking away from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at the end of the season, as his playing time was limited this term, partly by fitness issues.
However, he has now put pen to paper on a new two-year deal that holds him to the Partenopei until June 2028.

Spinazzola is 33 years old and was a key part of the Italy squad that won EURO 2020, even though his tournament was cut short by a devastating Achilles tendon tear.
The versatile full-back can play on the right or left, in defence, wide midfield or even as part of a trident attack.
He amassed 72 competitive appearances in the Napoli shirt, scoring four goals and contributing to their Scudetto and Supercoppa Italiana victories.
Roma paid €29.5m to buy Spinazzola from Juventus in 2019, then he joined Napoli as a free agent in the summer of 2024.
