VfB Stuttgart have announced their first deadline day signing in the form of Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss (21). The Morocco international joins the Swabian club on a season-long loan deal and has the advantage of being able to play in several positions, primarily to cover the departed Enzo Millot, but also to deputise for Deniz Undav following his injury.

“My first impressions are very positive,” said El Khannouss. “I’m happy that everything worked out. VfB is a big club, and the Bundesliga is an exciting league. The people I’ve met so far have been very nice, and the discussions with the management have been very good. I’m excited about the time ahead and can’t wait to get started. I want to achieve a lot with my new teammates.”

The 21-year-old – who holds a market value of €28m, per Transfermarkt – scored two goals and provided three assists in 32 Premier League games for Leicester City last season, and already have two assists in two Championship games this campaign.
