Toulouse have this afternoon announced the signing of Chilean international left-back Gabriel Suazo on a free transfer, on a contract which L’Équipe have reported to be over a period of three and a half years.
The 25-year-old has spent the last seven years in the first team of his formative club Colo-Colo, where he was national champion three times, including this past season when he lifted the title as captain. He made 167 appearances in total for the Santiago-based side, as well as earning 13 caps for his country.
Suazo becomes the team’s second signing of the winter window, having also reinforced on the right-hand side of the defence with the arrival of Norwegian right-back Warren Kamanzi.
Toulouse currently sit 12th in Ligue 1 after an upturn of form in the new year which has seen them go three unbeaten, a run which has included a 5-0 mauling of Auxerre.
