Official: Travis Mutyaba leaves Bordeaux for a Tunisian club
Travis Mutyaba officially left the Girondins de Bordeaux on July 9, 2025. Targeted by Tunisian clubs, the Ugandan striker is heading back to North Africa, signing with CS Sfaxien to reignite his young career in Tunisia.
The Bordeaux club confirmed the departures of Travis Mutyaba and Amadou Diallo in an official statement released Wednesday morning. The Ugandan, who was signed from Zamalek in Egypt last summer, experienced his first stint in France this past season. He made 19 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign with Bordeaux's National 2 side. At the end of the season, both parties agreed to part ways.
This announcement comes as Travis Mutyaba has just signed a three-year contract with CS Sfaxien in Tunisia, keeping him at the club until 2028. The Sfax side won the race against Georgian club Dila Gori, thanks to a faster and more lucrative offer.
