AS Monaco have confirmed that Vanderson (22) has signed a contract extension. The Brazil international is now tied to the Principality club until the end of the 2027/28 season.
Since arriving at Monaco from Grêmio in a reported €11m deal back in January 2022, Vanderson has gone on to establish himself as first-choice at right-back. This position was solidified in the summer with Ruben Aguilar, who had been first-choice upon Vanderson’s arrival, left the club to join RC Lens.
In 2023, Vanderson became a Brazil international, although his ascension was disrupted by an injury towards the end of the year. The Brazilian’s contract with Les Monégasques was set to run until 2027, however, Monaco have now confirmed that his stay has been extended for a further year.
He will now be hoping to add to the 76 appearances that he has already made for the Principality club. In that time, he has scored five goals and delivered nine assists.
