Official: VfL Bochum complete free transfer signing of Norwegian

VfL Bochum have completed their first signing of 2026 as Mikkel Rakneberg on a free transfer from Norwegian club Kristiansund BK.

The 23-year-old Norwegian has put pen to paper on a contract with VfL Bochum which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2029.

The versatile left-footed player made 99 appearances for first division side Kristiansund, scoring nine goals.

His two goals in the Eliteserien promotion playoffs for Ullensaker/Kisa IL in 2022 led to his return to the top flight with Kristiansund.

Now after completing his move to the Ruhrpott club, Mikkel Rakneberg will wear the number 18 jersey for VfL Bochum.
