Via their official social media channels, Troyes have confirmed that Yasser Larouci (23) has joined Watford on a season-long loan. The French full-back most recently spent last season on loan with Sheffield United in the Premier League. The Blades were ultimately relegated to the Championship and Larouci returned to France.
Larouci made 11 appearances while on loan at the Yorkshire club in the English top flight. The former Liverpool left-back will have another opportunity to impress in England after agreeing to join EFL Championship side Watford on loan for the 2024/25 season.
The defender could also make a permanent switch to England. The 23-year-old’s loan move to the Hornets also includes a purchase option which the London club could exercise should they want to keep the Troyes man. L’ESTAC have struggled in recent seasons after suffering consecutive relegations and will be playing their football in the French third tier during next season.
