Eintracht Frankfurt’s reported on purchase of SV Elversberg striker Younes Ebnoutalib has been officially confirmed. The 22-year-old makes the jump from the 2. Bundesliga to the Bundesliga for a reported transfer fee of €10m including bonuses. Ebnoutalib’s new contract in the RheinMain metropolis runs until 2031.

Younes Ebnoutalib is Eintracht Frankfurt’s fourth January transfer

Three days before the January 2026 transfer window is scheduled to open, Frankfurt have proactively completed four signings. Eintracht Japanese international Ritsu Doan is now joined by two of his Samurai compatriots. Japanese left back Keita Kosugi cost Eintracht a reported €6.5m. Young Japanese attacking prospect Keito Kumashiro (a longer term prospect) comes aboard for a reported €400,000.

Kosugi was purchased from Swedish outfit Djurgårdens IF. Another purchase from the Swedish first division, 17-year-old attacking talent Love Arrhov of Brommapojkarna, cost the SGE a reported €4.5m. Eintracht, after a highly disappointing start to their 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign, have thus now spent a combined total of €21.4m on new January 2026 signings.

Words on Ebnoutalib’s signing

Younes is a very dangerous player with a very solid physique,” SGE board-member-for-sport Markus Krösche noted in a club statement. “In recent months, he has been able to take the next steps in his development at Elversberg, which we would like to help him continue. We are convinced that he can quickly help us with his skills, especially as he has all the athletic qualities required.

In Younes Ebnoutalib, we have signed one of the most exciting German strikers around at the moment,” SGE sporting director Markus Krösche added. “He brings a top work rate, great physical presence, and assertiveness in the box. He is also technically skilled and has a good finishing ability. We are very pleased that he made a clear decision in favor of Eintracht Frankfurt. His abilities give the coaching team further options in attack.”
