Hamburg have officially confirmed Emir Sahiti’s reported on loan out to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Two more HSV arrivals are set to be confirmed shortly. Reliable sources continue to report that Albert Grønbaek and Almugera Kabar will be unveiled by the Bundesliga outfit. Hefti’s Israeli loan does contain a purchase option for the €1.5m-valued attacker.
“Emir hasn’t gotten the playing time he wanted this season, so a loan is a sensible solution for all sides,” HSV sporting director Claus Costa noted in a club statement. “Emir is a popular character within the team and has behaved in an exemplary manner every day despite his sporting situation. He played his part in getting us to the Bundesliga. We wish him every success during his time in Israel and will be following him closely during his loan spell.“
“I am very grateful for my time at HSV thus far,” Hefti noted in his own statement. “Last season in particular, with the promotion, was a highlight for me. Now I am looking forward to the new opportunity at Maccabi Tel Aviv. I wish HSV all the best for the rest of the season and hope that the club manages to stay in the Bundesliga.”
Sport Bild reports that Kabar’s long in-the-works transfer to HSV will take the form of a loan with a purchase option. As of yet, there’s no word on why Grønbaek’s introduction has been delayed. No reports suggest that there were any issues with the Danish international’s medical.
