Moise Bombito (26) continues to suffer with pain in his tibia and is therefore expected to undergo surgery once again, as per a report from Nice-Matin.

Bombito broke his tibia last October during the derby against AS Monaco. The centre-back would not feature again for Nice all season but that did not prevent him from being selected by Canada for the FIFA World Cup over the summer. Whilst he was not fully fit for the start of the tournament, he nonetheless started both of Canada’s knockout games in the tournament.

However, Bombito was once again absent for Nice as they drew against FC Lorient on the opening day of the Ligue 1 season. His absence can be explained by recurrent tibia pain. Nice-Matin understands that, following tests this week, it has been decided that he must once again undergo surgery on the injury. It is estimated that the defender will be absent for several months.
