If Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga are to once again pull on the OGC Nice jersey, which is by no means a given, then it will not happen immediately, as the pair’s sick leave has been extended.
Moffi and Boga were the target of Nice fans’ ire following a 3-1 defeat to FC Lorient on 30th November. Upon their return from that away trip, the team bus was ambushed, with Moffi and Boga receiving punches and kicks.
As a result of that attack, the pair had been on sick leave. During the 1-0 defeat to SCO Angers over the weekend, Nice’s players wore shirts printed with the stricken pair’s names.
Their sick leave has now been extended further. Moffi’s sick leave has been extended by a further five days, and so he will miss Thursday’s match against Braga in the UEFA Europa League, whilst Boga’s has been extended by one week, meaning that he will miss the UEL encounter, as well as this weekend’s trip to face Ligue 1 leaders RC Lens.
L’Équipe adds that Boga wishes to leave the club, whilst Moffi has yet to make a decision about his future.
