OGC Nice are without some key players due to injury, as they look to overturn a 2-0 deficit in their UEFA Champions League play-off against SL Benfica on Tuesday night.

Nice contended with absences going into the first leg at the Allianz Riviera last week. The likes of Mohamed Abdelmonem, Ali Abdi, Moïse Bombito, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, Mohamed Ali-Cho, and Tanguy Ndombélé all missed out.

The injury issues have worsened. Dante and Morgan Sanson both came off in last week’s defeat with injuries. The latter has sustained a hamstring injury. He is expected to be out for several weeks. The former sustained a knee injury. Whilst he is expected to be fit for Le Gym’s Ligue 1 opener, he misses out against Benfica.

Pablo Rosario will also miss out. He is nearing a departure from the club and does not wish to run the risk of injury.
