OGC Nice will rename the press room at their training centre in honour of Éric Roy.

According to L'Équipe, the timing aligns with the squad's return to training on Wednesday, with the first two days set aside for physical and medical tests.

Roy, then Brest head coach, died on 17 June aged 58 after a long illness.

A Nice native, he played for the Aiglons from 1988 to 1992 then 2002 to 2004, before managing the first team in 2010-2011.

Known for his trademark cap and close bond with president Maurice Cohen, he had already been honoured by the club during Dante's farewell. Further tributes at the stadium are anticipated, probably not on matchday one, behind closed doors, but likely during the second home game in early September against Le Mans.
