OGC Nice unveil gold third kit honouring victims of 14 July 2016 attack | OneFootball

OGC Nice have unveiled their third kit for 2026-27, a strip that honours the 86 victims of the 14 July 2016 attack.

The club said in a statement that it had designed the entire kit as a tribute. The gold colour evokes the light of stars and the 86 beams that rise from the Promenade des Anglais during memorial ceremonies.

On the front, 86 stars are arranged to trace the curve of the Baie des Anges. On the back, the date 14 July 2016 is printed on the collar.

For 10 years, supporters have marked the 86th minute at home by lighting their phone torches as a heart, formed from the victims’ names, appears on the Allianz Riviera’s big screen. That same heart features on all shirts and on the captain’s armband worn by Jonathan Clauss in the first two matches of the season.

The kit will be worn for the first time on Saturday at 20:45, when Nice host Le Mans on matchday three of Ligue 1. The fixture will allow the club to pay tribute after they were unable to do so on the opening day against Lorient because that game was behind closed doors.
