OGC Nice’s sporting director has reaffirmed his stance that Jean-Clair Todibo (24) and Khéphren Thuram are not for sale this month.

According to Nice-Matin, Todibo has been given a €60m price tag this January in order to warn off any potential suitors, amidst reported interest from the Premier League’s elite, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. Whilst Thuram is yet to be linked with a departure this month, the France international did nonetheless garner interest from Liverpool last summer, but he ultimately made the choice to remain with Nice for another season.

Both France internationals now look like completing the season with Le Gym, as stated by sporting director Florent Ghisolfi during a press conference, attended by Get French Football News.

Asked by GFFN’s Luke Entwistle whether he is firm in his stance on retaining Todibo and Thuram until the end of the season, Ghisolfi responded: “Yes. As we’ve said since the offset, we are working on stability, and stability is keeping your best players. JC and Thuram are definitely that, as players and as leaders as they are vice-captains. We absolutely want to keep them. I hope they will quickly come back from suspension and injury and quickly bring their freshness, leadership and enthusiasm.”

Thuram is set to return from injury against Bordeaux this weekend, whilst Todibo returns from suspension in what is a big boost for Les Aiglons. Whilst both players now look set to remain at the club in the summer, L’Équipe have reported that both are likely to make moves come the end of the season.
