Last night, during the Coupe de France quarter-final between OL and RC Lens (2-2, 4-5 on penalties), Moussa Niakhaté and Malang Sarr clashed several times on the pitch.

The Lens defender played down the incident after the match on beIN SPORTS, and the Lyon player followed suit on his social media.

"He said it all (speaking of Malang Sarr, who had called it a 'squabble'). Three minutes later, after a set piece, we apologized and hugged it out. After the match as well. Malang is MY BROTHER! We've known each other for almost 10 years, so one match won't change that. In football, these things happen and will happen again. No controversy," Niakhaté wrote on social media.

Both players are expected to reunite with the Senegal national team in a few days.
