According to Le Progres, OL have deactivated 437 tickets in a crackdown on illegal resale, aiming to keep Groupama Stadium overwhelmingly red and blue for their Champions League play-off with Fenerbahçe.
Since the tie was confirmed, club staff have mobilised to block illicit resellers and avoid a stadium weighted towards the large Turkish diaspora.
After coping with the ferocious atmosphere at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, OL do not want to face a hostile setting or public-order risks in Décines on 26 August.
Avoiding a repeat of the 13 April 2017 trouble against Besiktas remains central, a concern that also resurfaced when OL and Besiktas met again in the 2024-25 Europa League group stage.
The issue has returned to the forefront since the win over Sparta Prague and the formal confirmation of the Fenerbahçe play-off.
