Florian Thauvin sent Lens into the Coupe de France semi-finals, converting the decisive kick after a 2-2 draw at OL, as Endrick endured a muted night.

Thauvin poached the opener on 23 minutes after Rémi Descamps parried Saud Abdulhamid’s tight-angle strike, then released Abdallah Sima to make it 2-0 in first-half stoppage time. L'Équipe notes he was a constant threat and set the press.

On 50 minutes Malang Sarr shut the door on Endrick with a key recovery. Roman Iaremtchouk then struck the bar on 63, before heading in Rémi Himbert’s cross on 67 after darting behind Pierre-Ismaëlo Ganiou.

On 90+3 Sarr cleared after a risky Risser charge. Moments later, on 90+4, Himbert levelled, punishing another hesitant sortie following Corentin Tolisso’s clever header.

Lens prevailed 5-4 on penalties. Abdulhamid converted his kick, while Tolisso and Endrick scored for OL. Descamps did not save any attempt.

Sarr led from the back, taking charge of build-up and the aerial duel, and with Ganiou largely marshalled Endrick. Abdulhamid impressed on the right and Ganiou’s ferocity underpinned a string of interventions.

OL’s standouts were Iaremtchouk, who carried the fight, and captain Tolisso, whose awareness supplied the late assist. Conversely, Noah Nartey struggled to impose himself, Clinton Mata was caught by Sima’s burst, and Rémi Descamps endured a difficult night.
