OL Lyonnes v Toulouse could open door for new faces before the break | OneFootball

Wedged between a Champions League summit and the international break, OL Lyonnes’ meeting with Toulouse could open space for new faces.

According to Le Progres, this kind of fixture is often seized upon by hungry youngsters chasing any minute on offer, and by experienced players looking to upset the hierarchy.

For the former, even brief cameos could help make them indispensable. For the latter, it is a chance to push their names towards the top of the sheet on big European nights.

All of this comes with bodies already tested, so freshness could matter as much as form when the line-up is set.

The evening may feel celebratory, and it might also provide a first-team platform for new names before the break.
