OL to call on first wave of returns for Celta second leg | OneFootball

OL will finally be able to call on a first wave of returns for Thursday’s Europa League last-16 second leg against Celta. Further minutes are planned three days later in Ligue 1 at Monaco, even as the absentee list remains heavy.

According to Le Progres, Mata, Moreira, and possibly Fofana and Sulc will, or should, rejoin the squad for the Celta tie. Those involved could then continue to build rhythm against Monaco.

Paulo Fonseca has framed the coming days as crucial and stressed the need to recover more players to increase his options. He compared it to waiting for late reinforcements at the end of a transfer window, and at least three returns are anticipated.

Clinton Mata, suspended at Le Havre, will be available. After a demanding run of matches he has been able to recover, giving his coach added flexibility.

The expected comebacks should pad out the group for Thursday before game time is managed at Monaco. Even so, the list of absentees remains sizeable.
