According to Olympique-et-Lyonnais, OL should play their first friendly on eight July against Mâcon, an N3 side. The Ligue 1 fourth-placed side are then expected to meet GOAL FC in Décines on Saturday 11 July, with some details still to be finalised.
Paulo Fonseca's squad return to training on 29 June. Champions League qualifiers await on four or five August.
For two years OL have made a point of opening pre-season against local neighbours, whatever the level. In 2024 they eased past Chassieu-Décines of N3, 7-0. In 2025 they edged FC Villefranche-Beaujolais 1-0, who went on to Ligue 3.
GOAL FC, based in Chasselay, finished mid-table in group C of N2. The game would be a nod for defender Thomas Fontaine, an OL academy product, as well as sporting coordinator Enzo Réale.
The remainder of pre-season should also include a friendly at the Pierre-Rajon stadium in Bourgoin-Jallieu and a camp abroad, although plans remain subject to change.
